Hideaway 77 youth café (Redruth)
We are open for three evenings a week:
“The Supper Club Back to the Basics”
This a chance for you to learn a new & exciting cooking skill each week. Some weeks we might learn how to make things like bread, different sauces or a delicious cake and other weeks, it might be skills like how to cut safely, how to grow vegetables etc. – whatever we do, it will be a fun way to learn something new. It won’t all be about cooking, they’ll be space to just hang out with your mates, chat with our Youth Workers and play some games. This is open to everyone, there’s no commitment to come every week and you don’t need to sign up.
There may be an opportunity to join us for our original Supper Clubs on Wednesdays, depending on numbers but we’d love to see you on Monday’s for Back to the Basics!
The Supper Club
The Supper club is to help young people learn a range of exciting new skills and cook together with invited guest chefs over a 10 week programme, culminating in a fine dining visit to a restaurant at the end of the 10 weeks. They will learn how to cook with everyday basics and also challenge themselves with more creative meals. They will gain a valuable insight into budgeting, meal planning, the etiquette of serving food, nutrition, food hygiene among many other life skills.
Fridays from 7-9pm
will be the weekly drop in evenings , which will enable young people to meet together in a safe warm space and access a range of support and workshops including information advice and guidance as well as having a chill out time with their friends and hopefully many will make new friends.
We have contracted with Young People Cornwall to deliver the professional youth work service for the Supper Club and Drop In sessions at Hideaway 77
