What’s it all about?
Hideaway 77 Youth Café is the second youth café of its kind in the area, so it’s a very exciting project for the Cornish market town of Redruth! The Hideaway 77 Youth café is the result of hours & hours of hard work by a dedicated team of young people & adults from the town and surrounding areas.
The youth café was successful in being awarded important grant funding to make the dream a reality.
The money to make this all happen has come from a variety of funders, supporters and sponsors. This includes a substantial grant from the CLLD – Community Led Local Development Fund, and also financial support from Redruth Town Council, the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner (OPCC), The Learning Partnership, Cornwall Council’s Community Chest Fund, and various generous individuals in the local community. We are extremely grateful for all this valuable support.
Charlotte Caldwell led the project with the support of many dedicated individuals from a wide range of partner organisations.
Most important of all, was the support from Warren’s Bakery, who have provided the venue above their shop in Fore Street, so a very big thank you to Warren’s and their team who have been behind us every step of the way!
